ABOUT US
(Before you begin reading this, we strongly suggest you download the "GreenLight Creative Brief.doc" for easier reading)
GreenLight is a new, disruptive product line (by icc-usa.com) that offers datacenters servers of unprecedented energy efficiency. Although “Green IT” has become a popular and widely discussed subject, GreenLight is the first server created with a sole focus on energy efficiency.
This project is an opportunity to be part of a major, environmental innovation!
The line will consist of 2 products.
1.GreenLight (Main product) – this is literally the MOST energy efficient server on the market, EVER. It is optimized in every way possible to achieve maximum energy efficiency.
2.GreenPerform – This system is capable of heavy duty computing while remaining more energy efficient than a light bulb.
We are creating a micro site to showcase this disruptive, industry changing product so we’re relying on you to portray it in an intriguing, thought inspiring, engaging way.

NOTE: The paper prototype included in this brief is NOT a strict “wireframe.” It is a loose representation of the desired content and structure. It was created by our team, not by a designer, so any and all elements are open to interpretation and improvement.
We do not only encourage creativity, but EXPECT it.
DELIVERABLES
•All PSD , vector, jpg/png files used
•If photographs used, PSD files should ideally allow for easy change of photographs without ruining aesthetic (e.g. photo filters in separate layers)
oPhotos of the system are not yet available, but we MAY need the designer to process the photos and insert them into the current design when they become available. This service is a requirement for this project.
•This microsite is 6 pages. However, the 2 technology/product pages should follow the same template.
•TO BE SELECTED YOU ONLY NEED TO SUBMIT A DESIGN FOR THE FRONT PAGE. WE WILL THEN ASK YOU TO DESIGN THE REST OF THE PAGES.
•With that said, it would definitely help to see an additional element like the calculator or one of the technology pages.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Any company with a data center, primarily
-Datacenters
-Hosting Companies
-Internet Service Providers
We want their jaws to drop at how energy efficient the GreenLight is and to immediately begin thinking about how much money they can be saving with it.
WE LIKE
Aesthetic Guidelines
•Site should NOT be styled to resemble our parent company site, www.icc-usa.com, at all.
•Site should be optimized for usability and reduction of clutter
•Typographic treatments should ideally be reproducible with html/CSS, with minimal reliance on images. Exceptions can be made for truly stunning typography
•The color scheme should be green-ish WITHOUT becoming another cliché enviro-site.
•The product should be presented in an impressive/“cool” way (not as a toy though). We want our customers to get excited. Nobody has ever done anything like it!
•Likewise, the site should convey “exceptional design” so that people can “feel” the innovation, rather than us asserting it.
•The website should have the warmth/personality of a startup, rather than the cold, impersonal feel of most IT products. It should look very solid though, without giving off a “tacky gimmick” impression.
•***The name of the product, GreenLight, is only a working title - it may change before the official launch. We do not have an official logo yet. The final name WILL convey something “green”/energy efficient with some kind of metaphor for a light bulb. Please include a flexible, working logotype, perhaps accompanied with some green/light-bulb imagery. We will try to announce the official name of the product line before end of the contest.

As you’ll probably notice, most of these are not IT sites. We want to get away from the stuffy, impersonal, IT aesthetic.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
