Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I am running decisions.ch, which is a database of trademark decisions from Switzerland. The site has been running since 2003 and contains several hundred trademark decisions by Swiss courts/administrative agencies. See www.decisions.ch for yourself (in German, but to complete the project, no language skills are required).

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a facelift of the logotype (upper right hand corner of the site) / titlebar of the site. See www.decisions.ch for current logotype. The logo should have approximately the same size as the current logo (600 x 80 px), but can be slightly larger, too. I also ask you to submit a hi-res version of your design (min. 2000 px wide) for use on print advertising material.

When I say facelift, I mean facelift. I.e., the "look and feel" of the new logo should be recognizable as "decisions.ch" (the design of which has been unchanged for 5 years).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

The site is aimed at trademark professionals (lawyers, inhouse counsels, administative agents).

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Note that the site uses predominantly red and white. That's not because I wouldn't know how to use other colors; it's done on purpose... in other words, if your re-design is green and blue, it is unlikely to be chosen.

The new logo must contain the headline "decisions.ch" and "Schweizer kennzeichenrechtliche Entscheide"; the latter as a subline.

The logo should have approximately the same size as the current logo (600 x 80 px), but can be slightly larger, too. I also ask you to submit a hi-res version of your design (min. 2000 px wide) for use on print advertising material.

note that for legal reasons, red crosses are out. Sorry. Only Red Cross societies may use red crosses. Any other color crosses are okay, though.
