I've got to agree with asher27 and retroboutiques. You can not give specific creative direction if you don't know what you want. It limits what what the designers are going to do. I've got to agree with asher27 and retroboutiques. You can not give specific creative direction if you don't know what you want. It limits what what the designers are going to do. I've been in the advertising and design industry for many years and am quite used to dealing with fussy clients. It's part of the game, you just deal. But when you have a lot of talented people working for you for free you've got to be respectful of that. We as designers are challenging ourselves with the client requests. Your requests were given, here are your words...

i like some of the designs i have seen so far but all of these designs are still missing one thing that i have said all along & even repeated it many times: There is no mention or reference to Hollywood or Melrose or the fact that we are the fashion capital of the world. Please incorporate this into the logo as this is crucial.

... First of all this snippy comment is not how you should address anyone, let alone a lot of free designers. Second of all, you used the word "crucial". Could you define crucial please?

The winner's design is very nice but compared to what the buyer wanted - this really makes no sense. Why be so specific asking for certain street signs and vintage clothing articles and 'fashion capital' when the logo you choose is anything but? I personally made a logo that hinted at Hollywood, because I felt that adding all these specifics, ... (more)

I personally made a logo that hinted at Hollywood, because I felt that adding all these specifics, that even the best designer would create a mess of a logo.

The logo that won is very nice (congrats jazzact13) but the buyer here really isn't making much sense. (less)
