Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Zellen is a new clothing company focusing on golf apparel for cool chicks.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a family of logos.

1. One incorporating the entire name Zellen
2. Some sort of trademark that does not need the word to be recognized. Think of the Nike swoosh.
3. A " Z " it is possible that the " Z " could be the trademark that will depend on your creative ideas like Under Armor

For Stationary:

1. Business Card
2. Sticker
3. Letterhead
4. Embroidery Patch

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Zellen is targeting young women who love to play golf but don't necessarily want to look like they belong to a country club when doing it. They also don't want to look like men either. They are serious about their sport and want to wear clothes that represent their personal style. Think of Snow and Skate boarding chicks, these girls have attitude and the logo should reflect it.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Look and Feel

1. Even though the inspiration is cool chicks with attitude, we will eventually be designing for men so it can't be too cute or too feminine.

2. We will eventually branch out into other sports so the logo should not be golf specific.

Color

Zellen means green in another language and we will be using it as our signature color when we launch our first collection. Think of a bright green that will stand out. We also like black.

We want to remind everyone that although we appreciate the creativity designers are using incorporating golf motifs we are looking for a logo that represents sports apparel in general.

A good test of whether we will be able to use a logo is if you substituted the motif with, for example Volleyball, or Soccer. Is the design flexible enough for this?

We do think it is a good idea to have a tag line accompanying the logo so that as we expand into other sports we can change it from a generic "Sport" or "Athletic Apparel" to something more specific.
