Yes, it was a committee of two who made the final call, the husband/wife owners of the company, and the design we chose was not one that the other few people we allowed to give us feedback chose. We certainly had a difference of opinion among ourselves early on as to just what direction we were headed, but an icon that would set our company apart from similar operations in our niche industry is really what we needed, hence the design we chose. It will get tweaked and FYI, we chose the bottom rendition, without the waving hand.

And, for jmr7877, your design was beautiful and we did consider it closely, though some feedback we received pointed out some flaws with it. I accidentally rated it down when having trouble with the rating function and you pulled it before we had a chance to go into more discourse with you. However, after reading the comment you posted upon withdrawing it, we determined that even if the design would have risen to the top with a few slight edits, your attitude was not worth taking a chance on. You have validated that intuition with your comment below, so thank you for heading us off from your direction. (less)

From a distance the winning logo looks like the women has a broken arm and is wearing a cast, the head of the horse looks like a cast, arhhh well.
