You say a buyer can do it--then that means that a user who functioned the site DEFINATELY could. They, crowdspring, could simply be using projects to steal concepts, and then retaining their own award. If a government can do this type of thing, so can a mere website. If someone can deceive another into thinking they're someone different, so can crowdspring.

There are to many, "how did that win?" by proffesionals for any logical individual to not question this. That's peoples' problem these days, they don't think. (less)

I'm afraid I must conclude in saying that my discussion had to do entirely with this project and those envolved. Knowledge comes from answers and answers come from questions. A corrupt government would also tell people, as would the blind of it's 'citizens', "don't question the government! Just trust us!" Blind trust is not trust, it is blindness. If you ... (more)

Knowledge comes from answers and answers come from questions. A corrupt government would also tell people, as would the blind of it's 'citizens', "don't question the government! Just trust us!"

Blind trust is not trust, it is blindness. If you cannot see to trust, than you cannot see. Simple. The attitude of questioning a system that does not appear to work adequately is not unprofessional, it's wise. It is the attitude of blind trust that leads people into having tyrannical governments. England, America, Mexico... whatever. This site is full of glitches and people who lose with winning prospects.

Don't ever call questioning failure unproffesional again. I'm sick of it. That is crowdspring's answer to everything. (less)

We are investigating unusual activity in this project and have temporarily frozen the ability for the buyer and winning creative to complete wrap-up. We are writing both parties to inquire and will update everyone when we have more information to share.

We have a process for reporting unusual behavior. Click the "contact us" link in the footer of ANY page on our site and let us know if you suspect something improper. One of the creatives in the project did so this morning. The discussion here is completely inappropriate - we are serious about our rules - we have permanently removed the accounts of creatives AND buyers who abuse those rules.

The comments in the Activity tab are meant to facilitate communication and work in this project - the comments here have abused that policy. Comments in the Activity tab are not meant to question the buyer's decision in selecting their favorite entry. Such comments reflect poorly on the person making those comments and this community and we ask that you respect the buyer, your fellow creatives, and crowdSPRING. We work really hard to maintain an air of professionalism and respect in this community. Please refrain from this kind of unprofessional commentary in the future. If you'd like to post a note of congrats, we very much encourage you to do that, but we respectfully ask that you not post negative comments, even if you disagree with the buyer's choice. We also remind you to review our Standards of Conduct for Creatives (http://www.crowdspring.com/standards_of_conduct_for_creatives).

I cant see this logo being on a supermarket shelf thats for sure. Maybe it is personal preference of the buyer. I doubt we will ever get to know that. My point is that why should I spend time and effort on something I may think looks good and then something any of us could've done in 5 minutes wins?? (less)

Also, it's kind of funny how the creative, neiel1, signed up the day the contest was ending. And also funny how he managed to slide a design in at the LAST MINUTE of the contest and wins! Contest ended 9:27pm EST and he entered 9:26pm EST. LOL

It's only buyers like this I have a very very big problem with. If CS would please check into the buyer AND the winner, I would be happy. It's not to hard for CS to do this as they could tell the IP addresses of everyone who signs up for this site. The only downfall is that if the "creative" signed up from a different location.

This sort of thing also has happened many times before on 99designs.

Does anyone know if there is antying in CS's buyer contract about creating more than 1 account? I think we should definitely bring this to there attention.

If the creative is in fact legit, than I apologize. But I have seen far to many contests where a new user signs up and enters only ONE contest and wins. And is never to be seen again. (less)

i certainly would not be shocked if cs was some sort of ponzi scheme where they end uppaying themselves every once in awhile. without full transparency the spector of impropriety is growing, the quality of work is weakening and the profession as a proper practice will survive this pimple on it's ass that is cs.

Superpowered, CS would have no reason to do that, their fee comes from the buyer not us. CS will look into this. We have a community forum, for discussions like this, should not be here on the project comments...

I grow very tired of designs that are not-par winning. I promise, it sure seems like it's always the other person. I wouldn't be surprised if Crowdspring was creating a new account and prompting us for our work, while picking their own entries. How many people have actually ever won a project? If I find out Crowdspring's been pulling my designs, they will be sorry. Very sorry. (less)

Yeah, i get really confused with how the whole "this is what we want" is usually not at all what gets picked :] seeing this in the street or newspaper, I'd assume it was organic clothing, or a nature/religion thing. Still, pretty colours and I hope it works out for them :]
