We and our 20 focus group testers loved the overall quality of this design competition. They all voted and and almost every entry received a few votes. Three or four really stood out though, and it was from these that we picked a winner.

So without the further delay...
The winner for this competition is lightbox with design # 41.

And our great thanks to all of the other designers for creating a really competitive project.
We would be happy to give any of your designs some of the feedback we received from the focus group, please ask!

Also, this is the first of several websites we intend to create with a similar theme, so please keep your files because we will probably contact you for our next website, or at the very least get you to enter them in the next competition.

Thanks so much for participating in our design competition. The quality of the entries was more than we ever could have hoped for. We really enjoyed working with each of you on your design to combine our vision with your creativity. I think it produced a number of results that could be judged the winner.

Our next step is to prepare your entries on mockups and present them to the focus group. I'm sure the "crowd" will produce a good decision. :-) We plan on announcing a decision Tuesday afternoon.

I like FredK's idea about moving the price icons over to the left, we will try that configuration with several of the logos like he suggested.

Addendum: In actual fact I would put the dollar bins on the same level as the logo, regardless which logo you choose. It gives both the logo and the dollar bins more room and makes them both more easily seen. See for example the compositions that lightbox used for the site head, or the composition I used in the previous ... (more)
