LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Sojourner Mobile is a provider of mobile services and applications on a variety of platforms including cellular phones, mobile internet devices, TVs, etc. We have been in the business for 8 years providing applications and are changing our brand to encompass the depth of what we provide for our customers.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo that will be displayed on a variety of hardware platforms as well as on the website, on printed materials, and on shirts. Colors used should generally be web and TV safe. Special care should be made to ensure that aliasing and the like will not happen when displaying the logo on a TV screen at 540i/p, 720pi/, or 1080i/p

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is two fold. Our applications are targeted specifically towards children ages 8-18, a slight extension of the tween market. Our services platform, where we originally built the business, is targeted towards small and medium business that don't have IT departments.

Some of our products include games, learning software, and content delivery systems for putting user generated content as well as corporate professional content on devices.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Don't have any specific thoughts about the design and can not provide any leading thoughts in this area. The designer needs to be creative here and just walk us through it. Impress us with something cool and fresh looking that encompasses what we do.



WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The design must be "Web 2.0" ish since that is the direction we're headed. The design should not be based off "clipart" and should be original with no external rights concerns.

The design must absolutely "say something" on its own. Any art should "say something" if it will be used on its own.

For example, if you look at the Tivo logo - you know the brand. Same goes for AT&T. What we don't want is something like the Google logo which only means something because everyone knows who Google is already. Otherwise is actually a pretty horrible logo.

The design must take into account that it may be necessary to display it in a horizontal or vertical orientation depending on the device that the content is being displayed upon.

Sojourner Mobile is a start-up limited liability company consisting of two principle officers with a combined industry experience of over 30 years. The company was formed to exploit the opportunities of the under served mobile education and entertainment markets.

The company plans to use its existing technology platform and expertise in subscription business development to generate a sustainable business model based on subscription revenue. Its long-term profitability will rely on growing a subscription base through the strategic acquisition of content and a comprehensive marketing plan.

Product Description

Sojourner Mobile Entertainment (Sojourner) develops educational and entertainment software for cellular phones and mobile entertainment devices. Its latest line of software products forms, a suite of products for edutainment assists parents in building an educational environment for tweens (kids 8-12) utilizing gaming and simulation as a platform for learning.

The suite, dubbed iLearn, is a set of games/services that focus on learning. Various topics are explored such civics, languages, geography, mathematics, as well as providing basic task management (to-do lists), homework reminders, etc.

One of the unique features of the suite is that all of the components are tied directly to the online community (virtual playground) where kids can see their scores and participate in activities as well as share stories and content. Topics chosen for video are generally based upon subject matter that the demographic would be interested in such as “how to tie a tie” or “care and upkeep for a pet”.
