I was under the impression you confirm payment before accepting any projects to be posted. Isn't that how the paying upfront idea works?

hum how is it possible that the fraud was not detected before the project was posted ? I have read the "Standards of Conduct for Creatives" and a word that appear a lot of time is "be professional". There is a lot of insurance system for eCommerce that would be helpfull in this situation. And if you think that this ... (more)

I have read the "Standards of Conduct for Creatives" and a word that appear a lot of time is "be professional". There is a lot of insurance system for eCommerce that would be helpfull in this situation.

And if you think that this type of insurance are too expansive, thought to put a percentage of your fee on a account that will be used for this kind of problem.

Unfortunately, after investigating thoroughly this very unusual project, we concluded that this project was a fraud.
Both the buyer and the awarded creative were the same person involved in a credit card fraud scheme.

Therefore, we've been given no choice but to cancel this project and report the individuals to the relevant authorities.

We are truly, truly sorry for the inconvenience. We know that you invested your time and effort on this project and this is frustrating to say the least.

Rest assured that based on this experience, we have made further improvements in our security measures against fraud.
