Creative brief

Neeli Peeli is a small retail business specialising in bright and colourful block printed clothing apparel (women’s and kids clothing) and home accessories (table cloths, napery etc) . Bright colourful textiles and unusual tasteful prints are the key selling differentiators for the line. I have attached some sample block prints.

Colours: The name Neeli Peeli literally means Blue and Yellow in Hindi (Indian language) and is usually used when describing anything bright and colourful. The products are designed and block printed in the Indian sub-continent.

Objective – Looking for a logo that will play off the name Neeli Peeli and so the colours are to be blue and yellow. (I do want it to be cost effective when printing stationary). I am looking for a logo that incorporates the ‘feel’ of the descriptors outlined above and want it to be funky, whimsical and high end. It needs to appeal to the ‘well heeled’ so not too cutesy or garish. If possible I would like the final design to be simple enough to be modified to be a clothing label (optional).
