The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.
Create an Identity Package for an internet portal; a social media and video heavy site. Logo for use on website, video, online ads, newsletter, letterhead, email, etc.
Our Mark: The Chicago Convergence.
Our tag line: 'where talent, ideas and code collide'.
This brand is about the convergence of people, talent and resources. It is about the convergence of technology, entertainment, music, journalism, etc. It is about demonstrating the strength Chicago has as the center-point or hub of this convergence. I need a predominantly horizontal logo. This logo will be turned into a rich motion graphic for use as a video opener. I need photoshop files and jpegs.
Brief updates

- The Original Logo worked really well with the colors (blue/silver/black) of our ning site at http://chicagonewmediasummit.ning.com. A new social media site is being created and we will use the colors of the newly chosen logo to develop this site 'look'. So the entire palette is open to designers.
With talent, ideas and code colliding (we know this is broad), there are many audiences we are speaking to - but primarily the tech / entertainment industries - and we need to wow them. - 30-Oct-08 7:50 p.m. GMT

- This past website was a little too Gotham City - you almost expect Batman to do a flyover.

- What I don 't want is more of what I already have (see Convergence Logo or Original Logo files here) - and artists are free to explore - it could go the direction of the file FOWD.
MOST IMPORTANT: capture graphically "convergence" in bold art/graphic design.
