Our members are academic physicians (like professors and medical researchers), so the logo should be more serious than playful. It should fit in well with the rest of the website. I like logos that are streamlined and crisp looking. The logo can include the following tagline: "Connecting Academic Communities". But I'm not 100% tied to that tagline. The temp logo has that tagline now, but I would be willing to consider logos without it. It is very important that the logo tie in well with the overall look of SGIMs brand (see attached guideline)
Text only or text mostly. We currently have a small 'touchpoints' symbol in our current logo to tie it in with our main website (www.sgim.org) and main organization's logo.
GIM Connect is a community site for academic primary care physicians-- connect.sgim.org. The current (temporary) logo is up there now. The new logo's colors and style should complement the connect.sgim.org website. It should also complement the colors and branding of our main organizational website www.sgim.org.
