The buyer wanted something memorable and cutesy... and it "did" appear you had the lead. The winner just came up with something else that was "cutesy" (the smiley toe) and caught ... (more)

The buyer wanted something memorable and cutesy... and it "did" appear you had the lead. The winner just came up with something else that was "cutesy" (the smiley toe) and caught his eye. Hang in there... don't be discouraged. The site really does help you hone your skills. I know times are tough and we'd all like to win... but don't give up... you have talent! (less)

yep, contest are unpredictable, sometime the best wins, sometimes the one that hits a cord with the client for whatever reason, they are the buyer, it is their logo....go figure;)..... and like guppy said, a good logo is recyclable, so keep designing, if It isn't sold now, recycle later(I have sold MANY this way, what is ones treasure, was discarded ... you cannot imagine how much my activity on crowdspring improved my skills so i do not consider any of the projects i participated in as a waste of time you cannot be upset that someone else won when you know that it does not only depend on your logo but on how the client sees it they see things differently ... they see things differently , we see our logos as the best but maybe it's not quite so and then another entry is chosen as the client sees it more fit for their business ;) - this is design! (less)

Shannon it can be frustrating but I think your comment can be looked at as a little disrepful to the winning entry, I totally feel ya but everyone works their butts off knowing that it may be "wasted" time. But at least youre getting better right?
