Brief updates
- 27-Aug-10 7:01 p.m. GMT
- Please, change subtitle to "True Stories of Kids, Career & the Chaos of Modern Motherhood"
design should reflect this change.
Also, my agent wants more color. book needs to POP more and stand out from other books on shelf.
- 27-Aug-10 7:02 p.m. GMT
- Maybe do a RED background??! not sure how to make cover POP more...
- 28-Aug-10 6:59 a.m. GMT
- Look in my "Materials" folder in left column on this page for image of "superwoman" career woman. Can someone use this image as a starting point, maybe ripping the "S" on her chest down the middle to signify that she is NOT a superwoman. Or some other way of modifying this image??
- 29-Aug-10 12:42 a.m. GMT
- Can anyone use the Getty "balance" image I mention in the Style Design section above and make it into a cool cover? I love that image. Except please replace the TV remote control with an iPhone.

- Can somebody try some "juggling" images?
Look at: http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncate...
and
http://www.all-about-motherhood.com/images/jugg...
motherhood IS a juggling act, after all.

- Here is an interesting concept-- don't like the colors, but i like the idea.

- 29-Aug-10 1:48 a.m. GMT
- please look at the images in my "Materials" folder (left column on this page). I like these images a lot.

- What about a baby sitting on floor taking all the items out of mom's work bag/purse.... Lipstick opened and on baby's face, baby holding and looking at cell phone/iPhone. Organizer, to do list, dripping baby bottle on its side, wallet, all scattered on floor around baby. Could be a great photo...
- 31-Aug-10 12:17 a.m. GMT
- Can someone try a photo of a baby on ground, in between mom's legs (mom in high heels and biz suit). All you see is baby seated and bottom half of mom's legs. baby is going through mom's work purse, with lipstick all over baby's face, cell phone on ground, everything emptied out on floor. could be great!

- Likes: I'm liking the silhouette covers with minimalist designs and not too many colors (woman walking tightrope; red silhouette of woman's figure on white background). I also like the photographs of real people (moms and kids).
Dislikes: I don't like the cartoonish-looking designs, or the overly busy designs.
- 31-Aug-10 5:26 a.m. GMT
- Please review the images in my "materials" folder in left column before you start. And read my Updates above. thanks.
- 31-Aug-10 5:34 p.m. GMT
- Can someone use the "pink green mom" photo to the left in my Materials folder, and put a crying baby on the floor in right corner of picture?
- 3-Sep-10 11:17 p.m. GMT
- Okay, no more stock photos please! It makes the book look self-published and not professional. I need sleek, modern, cutting edge, attention getting.
- 6-Sep-10 4:22 p.m. GMT
- Can someone do a silhouette of a woman... And have her morph out to one side as a mom, the other side as a career woman. Life a "trinity" -- one woman, three roles.
- 6-Sep-10 10:02 p.m. GMT
- I added a 'baby in briefcase' image in my Materials folder that could be a great cover! Also an image of shadow of mom and child walking. might be good if you can add a briefcase to mom's hand...
- 6-Sep-10 10:25 p.m. GMT
- "Supermom cake" image I added to my Materials folder could also make for a great cover design. Maybe the "supermom" statue couldbe fallen over in the cake, or face down, or on side.... The background of pink rays would attract attention. Need to spell it with American spelling "mom" -- not "mum."
- 7-Sep-10 4:07 a.m. GMT
- look at Materials folder for "good mom.jpg" for a good example of how to superimpose title on top of cover design image. Interesting... I like it.
- 7-Sep-10 4:39 a.m. GMT
- Can someone take the image I just uploaded to left in Materials folder-- "mom red pram.jpg" and make it into a cover like this:
http://www.elcslpl.org/resources/BookJackets/08...
(but with my title, of course)
- 7-Sep-10 5 a.m. GMT
- Another idea: Use the image in Materials folder called "working mom.jpg" and make a cover that looks like:
http://www.quarterlyconversation.com/images/tin...
except "I'm No Superwoman" title would be in red. all else in black and white.

- Hi all,
We just wanted to let you know that we've issued a cS award to user "belle42" for their great work - congrats, belle42!
If you're wondering why the full award wasn't given out, well, unfortunately, the buyer in this project has asked for a refund. And, because we offer buyers a money-back guarantee, sometimes we have to make good on that promise. In these cases, we refund the entire award (and our project fee) and pay the creative a cS award out of our own pockets. We've promised that every single project will be awarded - no matter what - and this is our way of honoring that promise. While we can't always pay the full award in every case, the winning creative is also free to keep the rights to all their work and do with it what they want. We hope you understand...
Thanks so much for participating and see you around the site,
The crowdSPRING crew
