Creative brief

Business Name

Kokeshi Sushi Bar

We are opening a trendy sushi bar restaurant, serving healthy dishes in the restaurant by take away, or by delivery. The restaurant is situated in a commercial and business area in Belgium.

"Kokeshi" means japanese doll.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

"Kokeshi" or "Kokeshi Sushi Bar"

What is your industry?

Restaurant / Food Takeaway / Food Delivery

Describe the target audience for your logo

Main customer: 24-50 year old professionals, high income, health conscious, extremely busy and in the need for a quick healthy lunch.

Secondary customer: women 24-50 year old, value fresh healthy food and trendy fashionable restaurant decor.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

1. Trendy and upscale
2. Fresh and healthy
3. Fast

What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

The logo should be image and text, where the image is a strong recognizable one, and that represents a Japanese "Kokeshi" doll (e.g., or an outline of the silhouette, etc.).

For the text, I would like "Kokeshi" to be prominent and "Sushi Bar" as more of a descriptor.

Some logos we like from the same sushi restaurant industry:

Other logos we like (bold colors, simple) are:

What colors do you want to see in your logo?

The restaurant decor will be white, gray and wood. We are looking for 1 bold fresh color in the logo (bright red or bright green, etc.), that we will use in the rest of the restaurant decor.

To build on the trendy and upscale, silver / gold could be used as highlights or for the text.

We are looking for a simple logo that people can easily recognize and remember.

We do not want a logo that is too "girly" and that will discourage men from entering the restaurant!

What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

We prefer to stay away from dull colors and brown (not considered fresh and clean), and pink (too "girly").

Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

Delivery bags, menus, business cards, delivery vehicles, website, building signage, outfits waitresses

Do you have other info or links you want to share?

No

Brief updates

20-Aug-10 10:37 a.m. GMT
Just a quick update: I'm looking for simplicity and minimalism in the logo, which I think communicates chic, trendy, upscale. Please try to avoid a "manga" or "cartoony" image, even though it can be very cute!

Thanks!
