Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

Business Name

ExploreMetro

What do you do?

ExploreMetro (www.exploremetro.com) makes interactive maps for metro and subway systems in Asian cities. We have popular maps for Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Singapore, with Taipei, Tokyo and Seoul coming soon. We create both online Flash maps, and iPhone apps.

What is the exact name you would like in your logo?

ExploreMetro

What is your industry?

Travel/Reference

Describe the target audience for your logo

1. White-collar, iPhone-toting commuters in large Asian cities who speak English, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese or Korean. Busy lifestyles.
2. Business and leisure travellers looking for authoritative travel information.

What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate through your logo?

* We make metro maps!
* They are stylish, clean, useful, up-to-date
* We have a focus on Asian cities

What logo styles do you like (text only, image only, text and image, etc.)?

Prefer simple logo with minimal text. Doesn't need to include full company name. Should work at multiple sizes (from a 16x16 favicon, through a Twitter avatar, to a software splash screen)

COULD be reminiscent of a metro company logo: http://s3files.core77.com/blog/images/metro_log...

COULD use a stylised "M" or "EM", or could be abstract

What colors do you want to see in your logo?

No particular palette in mind, but try to stick to strong primary colors (see existing site names at http://www.exploremetro.com/maps/)

What colors do you NOT want to see in your logo?

n/a

Where will your logo be used (print, website, etc.)?

Mainly online: websites, iPhone apps, Twitter, Facebook etc

Do you have other info or links you want to share?

See http://www.exploremetro.com/iphone and http://www.exploreshanghai.com/ for examples of our maps.

Please try to make the height and width of the logo reasonably similar (no very wide logos)

If you include text, consider using Franklin Gothic.

Note: I'm just looking for a logo for the overall "ExploreMetro" brand, not for the individual sites.

Thanks for all the entries. Note the logo does not have to include an 'E' or 'M'. Completely abstract logos are also fine!
