Business Name

SpotHero

What do you do?

SpotHero is an online parking reservation system. We enable our users to both sell and purchase parking spaces online. SpotHero is an alternative to expensive parking lots, metered parking, public transportation and street parking. It allows people to turn their open driveways, and garages into long term (and short term) private parking spots.

Do you have a desired website screen size?

Standard 1024 x 768.

How many pages (maximum of 5) do you need designed?

4

What is your industry?

Online Parking

Describe the target audience for your website design

High School students (16-18 years old) and middle aged families (mid forties and above). We are looking to allow High School students to buy parking spaces from families in the area of their school.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your website design

1) We are CONVENIENT - sellers of spots are wealthy, and we must show them how simple we make everything

2) We are SAFE - customers must feel safe giving their financial information. Especially SELLERS of spots.

3) We are RELIABLE - We are The SpotHero, like a super hero, we are the ones the customer can count on!

How is your company different from your competitors?

We are a radically different approach to parking. We allow buyers the flexibility to chose their locations in parking. Buyers can feel safe from tickets, car damage, towing and always have a record of where they are parked. We allow sellers a convenient way to generate cash flow form their vacant spots.

What website design styles do you like?

stubhub.com
amazon.com
espn.com

What colors do you want to see in your website design?

Any safe and clean looking colors. Nothing that will intimidate. We want to preach convenience, safety and reliability

What colors do you NOT want to see in your website design?

Heavy use of Red

What adjectives should best describe your website design?

Convenient
Fresh
Clean
Safe
Clear
Concise
Reliable

What content must be included in the website design?

Homepage
We are hoping to make the homepage the main focus of the site. We need the usual: header navigation elements, footer, and login form. Also, preferably we want a white bg. We want a "Web 2.0" design, but it doesn't have to be "forced" (i.e. rounded corners, drop shadows, reflections everywhere).

What we really want in the homepage design revolves around the ability for the user to be able to find a parking spot quickly. We are thinking about having a section for a Google Map, a section to quickly select a location, and a section with a list of parking spots in text form. When users hover over places on the map, we want a pop-up with some actions for the buyer.

Secondary Page

This secondary page will be a page for sellers of parking spots to easily list their parking spots for sale. We are envisioning possibly a calendar for the seller to quickly choose a date, or a range of dates to rent 1 or more spots, and also to set a price. We want to make it as easy as possible for a seller to quickly post their spot(s) at one time.

Please feel free to deviate as you see fit; we will try to leave a lot of comments and feedback for you.

Thanks and good luck!

Brief updates

Note - FOR THE HOMEPAGE - I would like to see 3 part pictorial display of the process. Possibly put into three separate boxes. Showing 1) Listing a spot 2) Buying the Spot and 3) Parking in the spot, and the seller collecting the cash. I believe that the homepages are getting too crowded using the Google Map, and that we will want to integrate the Google Map on the buyers tab.

Note - FOR THE BUYERS PAGE - I would like to see a Google Map that shows available spots in 2-3 block area. I would like creatives to show at least 10 available spots to choose from, so that I can see how someones search results will show on the screen.

Thanks,

SpotHero
