What do you do?
We're an interactive business strategy agency, working primarily with entertainment clients. We help celebrities and production companies leverage their brands to develop new businesses. We do business strategy, design, branding, development, marketing, and management -- seeing projects from idea to implementation. We also incubate and create our own products, launching 3-4 every year.
What is your industry?
Agency, Tech, Entertainment, Consulting, Investing
Describe your audience
Our audience is potential clients and potential partners. We want visitors to understand that we're a smart, serious, plugged-in, interactive agency with razor-sharp business savvy, a keen creative eye, and a deep understanding of the new media/tech space. We have a strong track record of building and growing successful businesses - both other people's and our own.
What are the top 3 things you would like to communicate to your audience?
Smart, tasteful, savvy
What styles do you like?
We want a logo that is simple, intelligent, elegant, crisp and clean but not too dry; classy and classic (British?) but not stuffy; whimsical but accessible; fun but not frivolous; serious but not overbearing. Our URL will be www.meetcharlie.com.
What colors do you like or hate?
We like white, red, blue, green, black, orange - simple colors that feel classic, probably no more than 2 colors, maybe even just one color. Like Newsweek or Coke. Don't like yellow, pink, purple, turquoise, weird colors, pastels.
Any other additional info? (optional)
We're based in LA, with an office in Cambridge, Massachusetts. We're 10 people and growing. Thanks for your designs!

- Some of these are great; I'd love to explore the possibility of adding some sort of iconic symbol to the logo. Can we try, for instance, a hat over the C in Charlie?

- Hello. Thanks for all the incredible submissions so far. You all are great. Sorry to say "No Thanks" to so many, but we don't want to waste anyone's time.
We'd like to try something in a slightly different direction: a sans serif font like Gotham (white) surrounded by a classic feeling red or blue rectangle background. Maybe slight italics, or slight interesting changes in the angles/sides of the rectangle. We like that idea for a basic concept. Then, continuing with the hat idea, it might be nice to see 3 different hats hanging on the C - then we could randomly load one of the 3 (or more) hat logos on the site, to convey the feeling that "we wear many hats" - i.e. our company does many things. Does that make sense?
Thanks again.

- Hi all,
We just wanted to let you know that we've issued a cS award to user "Janisa" for their great work - congrats, Janisa!
If you're wondering why the full award wasn't given out, well, unfortunately, the buyer in this project has asked for a refund. And, because we offer buyers a money-back guarantee, sometimes we have to make good on that promise. In these cases, we refund the entire award (and our project fee) and pay the creative a cS award out of our own pockets. We've promised that every single project will be awarded - no matter what - and this is our way of honoring that promise. While we can't always pay the full award in every case, the winning creative is also free to keep the rights to all their work and do with it what they want. We hope you understand...
Thanks so much for participating and see you around the site,
The crowdSPRING crew
