LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We need a logo for our new shopping cart. The domain is Cheddr.com, which is a play on the word "cheddar" as it is used to mean "money".

Think "Get the cheddar!" meaning "Get the money!"

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a clean, simple logo that conveys:

* trust
* ease of use
* powerful features
* cheddar making (money making) tools

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

We will be marketing to home-based small to large internet-based businesses.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Please make sure your submissions do not include any of the following:

* No stock photos
* No generic logo shapes that you've submitted to a bunch of other projects (i.e. arrows folding in on themselves, etc)
* No text only "logos"

Please make sure that you're submitting original logo ideas for this project:

* Related to our industry (shopping cart service)
* Reference to our name (Cheddr) and it's play on "cheddar" cheese and it's meaning of "money"
* Include a graphic and text element (either of which could stand alone)

NOTE: The website that is on the domain now does not *have* to be considered. If your logo matches it, we'll use the existing website. But if you come up with a great logo independent of the existing site, we'll make a new website to match your logo.

So it's up to you:

1. You can try to design a log to match the existing website

OR

2. You can design your logo from scratch and we will make a new website to match your logo.

If you're going to incorporate dollar signs, make sure they are the USD, not the Euro. And I'm not advocating including dollar signs - in fact, I think they are too generic for a logo. But if you must, please make sure they are $.

Just a small point . . . cheddar cheese does not have holes in it. That's swiss.
