Hi, I want to add some updates:

Main rule: Anyone should understand that our logo designed by a professional.

1. We absolutely need some modern font style.
2. Font must be bold (or as bold as possible).
3. It must be easy to read.
4. It must be as simple as possible.

Some keywords:

German Culture: high quality, professional, serious,

German Language: complicated, hard to learn, has lots of rules

Our Perspective: The logo must not give any negative message as German Language is hard to learn or something like that. It has to has a positiv feeling that German language is precious and the people who deal with German language are special. And logo must represent our brand. Our message is : This is a website you can find high quality information about precious German language, contact talented and professional members (teachers, tranlslators).

Today, I will score all entries and will be in contact.

There may be an icon with the word "almanca".

Some shape ideas (icon):

the letter "a" ind a box ( box : a square like a frame)
the "a" letter with a "+" sign (maybe in a square)
you can play with the letter "a"

Hi after 17 proposals I want to add some updates.

It will be good if the word "almanca" has a little trick or message.

I like logos: last.fm, linkedin.
(I mean I really like typographic logos : http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/inspiration/72-cr...)

Please think icon and the word "almanca" seperate. Of course the letter "a" may have the same font in icon.

What important is, we will use that word alone in the header of the web site. (Please check the attached file)

I want to write a little bit about concept. Depending on logo, we will let some designers to desing our graphic design of the website. So the style, the icons and the colours that you use in logo will be used everywhere in the site. We will have a colour-design concept like these sites:

Hi all, this is the third day and I want to add some updates.

In the beginning I wrote a long brief and I wrote lots of updates. But I also beleive in your creativity and don't want to limit you. So, here is a part of an article (in crowdsrping) which I beleive in:

Hi all, after 75 proposals I want to add my comments.

When I check the logos which I liked (4 rated) I feel that I focus on:
- professional looking
- readability
- unique
- a trick

Hi, last two days and I think this will be last update.

After I think about the proposals which I liked a lot, I see some common characteristics. I want to list them for you, for your last proposals :

Font: wide, capital letters, less corners, easy to read, bold
Icon: very simple (not complicated) , memorable, not aggressive

It will be better for you to add the logo to the header of the file that I attached while you are working on the logo.
