LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Global Arts Initiative (GAIN) is the international arts education division of an established non-profit New York based theatre production company. It is a new organization that currently works in Africa but we will be expanding to other countries and continents in the future. Our Mission is to collaborate with established arts organizations in developing countries that provide training and community-based programs for underprivileged children; to create cultural exchanges and co-productions utilizing U.S. mentors and local artists; and to offer scholarships for overseas study.
Our vision is to strengthen existing programs to achieve excellence in arts education, thereby (1) preparing graduates for professional positions in the arts and related industries, and, (2) enhancing a global arts perspective through teacher training workshops, guest artist programs and public performances.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for a Logo to be used on business cards, stationary, our website and merchandise
(t-shirts, baseball caps, dance clothes etc…) that will look equally impressive in color and black and white

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our various constituencies would include the funding community (individuals, corporations, foundations/trusts and government agencies), national and international arts institutions and organizations that we will be collaborating with

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Colors: Brown, Yellow (mustard), Turquoise, Earth tones, but with some color added.

Key words for the organization: The Arts, Collaboration, Exchange, International/Global, Scholarship, Outreach, Support, Production

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

A professional but playful image. The programs and the work is fun, but our image for the purpose of funding needs to be taken seriously.

The artistic nature of our work – we are working in Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts but would like to avoid using any of the usual symbolic images that represent these disciplines as we are constantly expanding within those 4 mediums.

The global element of our work as we will be working in more than one country (but no globe!!)

Nothing too childish. We are working with children but they are not the demographic we are appealing to for funds and collaborations

We have realized that we, GAIN and Global Arts Initiative are one and the same thing and we would like to find a way to integrate the two. GAIN is an acronym so to have both seems redundant (we had not thought this through) highlighting the letters GAIN in the words Global Arts Initiative seems to be one way
