LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Our company is focused on developing mobile applications for smartphones and mobile devices. We are currently developing products for the iPhone, but we plan to branch out into other platforms in the future including Android, BlackBerry, Palm, etc. Our company name is Roaming Logic and we strive to bring innovative technology solutions to people on the go.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo to be used for our website, in our apps, business cards and letterhead.


OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

1.) users of smartphones who will buy our apps
2.) businesses looking to create new mobile applications or mobile specific web sites.


WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like logos that use clean lines and a nice balance of sans-serif typography with graphical elements. Many of the logos we really like have a creative way of using the company’s letters or abbreviations to create a unique icon element in the design (see the attached links for examples of this) . We would like the logo to incorporate an icon/graphic element that could be used by itself as an icon or avatar.

We are open to different color schemes but tend to prefer the use of a blue with dark gray or black, it should also translate well to a black/white.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We don't want:
No intricate details in the design, light bursts, shadows, or excessive gradients please. We would like to keep the number of colors used in the logo to 3 or less.

We must have:
A logo with a clean yet iconic design that incorporates an icon or graphic element with our company name Roaming Logic.

Thanks to all of the designers that have submitted so far, there are quite a few designs with potential. It seems like using the combination of R and L for the icon piece has been pretty well explored by the current designs but we still welcome additional designs with this concept if you have something new. With that being said, we would like to see other potential ideas that focus on conveying our core business which is mobile technology. Anything that shows the combination of motion (Roaming) and technology/innovation/software/apps (Logic) would be great.

One other comment, we develop apps for iPhones/ipod touch/smartphones so an icon that looks something like an iPhone/smartphone would be a good way to convey what we do. As I have commented in some of the designs submitted already, we don't want anything looks like an antenna sticking out of the phone. Thankfully, smartphones don't use antennas that stick out anymore.
