The agency is one of the fastest-growing, best-known PR/Social Media players on the block. Seeking a website revamp that quickly, snappily tells the transformative tale of how communications is being revolutionized & about our role as a trusted guide, strategist, and execution agent par excellence.
The winning design will be clean, intuitive, and impactful: we have a ton of great examples of our success with FORTUNE 1000 brands; a ton of awards; and an unparalleled reputation ... The first-time visitor should not be able to visit our splashpage without thinking, "Wow. I've got to talk to these folks."
When implemented, the winning design must not mess with our SEO, which is tops in the industry.
Winning design should be future-proofed and flexible enough that we could swap-out elements (e.g., case studies, if that's part of the final look) with some basic skills.
We have many employee-written blogs (including an award-winning blog written by an agency principal), dozens of employees on Twitter, and a Facebook Fan Page that is growing in popularity. Ideally we could figure out a way to showcase these activities without distracting visitors.
We care about the liberal use of white space and other usability issues (http://j.mp/12OjfT).
Please make minimal (or no) use of Flash. Anything that requires the visitor to see "Loading ... " would need to be pretty amazing to be considered.
We like sites like:

http://vimeo.com/
http://superfan.com/
http://sterlingpr.com/
http://www.viget.com/
http://www.salesforce.com/
But all that should tell you is that we like clean, snappy design. You could score points for going a li'l nuts: why not a splashpage made up from a gorgeous HD photo, with simple/clever nav off to the side? We're open to Being Different.
