Text--The logo should say "Technology Conference" or "Kellogg Technology Conference", but "Kellogg" should not be more emphasized. The logo can also have the conference theme ("monetize me: today's technology challenge"), but this is not a requirement and would have to be done in an uncluttered way.

The text does not need to include "2010", "School of Management", or "Northwestern University".

Colors--one caveat is to be cautious about purple, specifically the purple that Northwestern and Kellogg use in their logos: http://www.kellogg.northwestern.edu/

Kellogg/Northwestern has a very strong brand in the minds of our target audience. So we want the conference logo to be distinct from these.

Because there are 13 conferences at Kellogg each year as well as a Technology Club, Kellogg students are bombarded with different logos and brands.
