Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

SecuCom is a small start up that provides clients with technology solutions to secure their communications. Our products, which we source worldwide, and wish to sell locally, being South Africa and into the rest of Africa, would secure mobile calls, e-mails, sms’s, using the latest cryptographic solutions. We aim to be the reseller/company of choice for the SADC region, for both security technology developers, and the preferred source for leading edge, reliable solutions to our clients.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo, which will form the base for our business cards, stationery, signage and website. The logo must be clear both in colour and black and white printing.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience can be separated into three distinct areas: The final targeted audience is government agencies and organisations. First are companies in the security industry, who would become resellers of our products to their clients. Second are senior managers (think CEO’s VP’s, directors etc.) in large companies, and/or smaller businesses who have a need for securing their communications. Typically these would include legal firms, mining houses and auditing firms as well as any company involved in large tenders, or government operations.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We prefer designs using emblems and/or coat of arms type of designs, as opposed to the typical technology type logos. Our logo needs to instil respect and trust, as opposed tomoreso than being flashy and trendy. We also quite like the idea of incorporating a key in the logo, but this is not an absolute. We like the designs for Rand Merchant Bank, Barclays as well as the intricate Transportations Security Administration

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Our design absolutely must have our Name: SecuCom. Please do not go to elaborate, ornamental or decorative with the logo, the logo should inspire trust, but not be old-fashioned or dull.
