Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

LifeServices is assisted living provider headquartered in Northwest PA. For those not familiar with the concept: Assisted living is a type of long-term care facility for elderly or disabled people who are able to get around on their own but who may need help with some activities of daily living, or simply prefer the convenience of having their meals in a central dining room and having nursing staff on call.

Our 8 communities throughout PA and OH are the face of the organization. You can view them here:
http://www.lifeservicesnetwork.com/locations.htm

We are in the process of a complete site redesign in addition to our logo so don't think of the site as an accurate representation of our business. However, it does give you a view of some of our communities and can give you a little more insight into the company itself.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a new logo to represent this organization. It will appear on business cards, marketing materials, and our upcoming website.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Generally adult children/relatives looking for a caring, dignified, and quality place for their aging or disabled mother/father. We want their initial impression to be one of absolute trust that their loved ones will be treated with the utmost care and respect while living with us. We want our logo to convey our personalized approach to care without giving off a corporate feel.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

At this point we really don't have any concrete ideas for designs. This is where your creative talents come into play! Although we do not have solid ideas yet we do have company colors and images to get the juices flowing. They can be found under the materials section. The color codes are as follows:

82303e Hawthorne Red

004c3f LifeServices Dark Green

588f7c LifeServices Light Green

Do not be limited by these color combos but one or more should probably have a place somewhere within the overall design.

I've also included a few shots of our buildings as well as a few pics from around the community. These are meant to help you get the feel for LifeServices...not for use in the logo

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Our name. LifeServices. Capital "L" Capital "S"

We emphasize a "resident driven" approach to service and care. Our mission is four words: "Independence, Dignity, Privacy, Choice". We help our residents be as independent as possible, we protect their dignity in our approach to care, we protect their privacy as to their life and care needs, and we provide them "choice" as to how they are provided their care. All, unlike traditional nursing homes that think of them as patients who they decide how to care for and when to care for them. So, we want to convey a "positive, fulfilling quality of life" available for a loved one, and are careful not to convey stereotypical "ageism" of older people of advanced age. You know, the "Sunny Acres" and "Golden Years" kind of offensive stuff to people who don't think of themselves as old. "You have a very nice Community here. I don't need it though. These people all need care and I'm only 94." Hope that helps.

As we are reviewing the submissions, we thought that the use of a "tree" might denote "life" and "quality of life". We would want it to be a "strong" looking tree, a tree one could "depend upon" so to speak. Just a concept to get you folks thinking and "frosty" on your submissions.
