LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I have a small in home studio that is growing into a bigger business than I expected. I have a camera room, a viewing room, and an office. My business is built on the outstanding photography, products, and attention I give my customers. I am a retired art teacher so I have an eye for fine art and what makes a quality image. I want my business to appear friendly yet sophistocated. My work is clean, fresh, with a blend of contemporary and traditional. I am artistic but not over the edge-probably not even near it. I am in my 50's but have always been youthful. I don't want to appear old fashioned or stale.

I designed my website but would like to change it when the logo is designed. If you look at it, I don't like the wallpaper-too busy.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

I need a logo to use in my marketing material and on my prints.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

My business is probably 75% high school seniors,so I need to appear youthful. I also want to appeal to their parents who ultimately pay the bills. The rest of my business is brides and weddings. Very few children.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

I like movement, nothing stagnant. I like lines that lead somewhere. I like organic shapes . Colors that appeal to me are possibly blues, greens, any cool colors, Maybe even paired with a neutral black or brown. And of course it must look equally good in black and white.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Some words that would work: Peggy Rogerson Photography or Photography by Peggy Rogerson.
Maybe Fine Art Photography or Fine Portraiture Any of those will do

I'm not sure I want to be in a square unless their is movement inside. Any circle needs to be open.

Maybe a play with the R as a design rather than a letter would work for the icon.

I will be out of town for the next week and will be checking in when time allows. After my trip I hope to make a decision. Thanks to all of you talented designers who have worked on this project. I wish I could select several of them.

We have a few days left with this project and I love many of the ones that have been submitted. I could easily select 9-10 od them and be perfectly happy, but I'm thinking of a different direction that I might like just as well. What about just forget about the letters and create some interesting organic shape or line design to accompanies or blends into my business name. I realize I don't have an visual in my name, but I do like interesting shapes. Like I said, I'm out of town for a few days, but will check in whenever I can. Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas.

I am in love with lots of the designs but I want to get the most out of this, so here are some thoughts. I want my design to be to the side of the business name, not over the top. I don't like a confined circle or a font with a serif. I'm out of town with little time, but I 'll be checking in occassionally.

Thanks to all the wonderfully talented designers who participated. I love so many of them. Picking one is going to be very hard.
