LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
Baloo ("baloo/""BALOO") manufactures all types of outdoor clothing. I.e. softshell jackets, underwear, ski pants, jackets, wests, gloves, etc.
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
a logo to be used for all exposure points (store fronts, on products, packages etc).
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
medium price segment.
WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:
The logo should include two parts.
1) LETTERS. ("baloo", "Baloo", "BALOO") Letters could be "seperate" (as google), but not necessarily.
2) BEAR'S PAW(S). Incorporated or separate.
Conclusion: Fun, colorful and clean design that makes you happy, still not too childish.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
simple to remember, unique and SMART design.

Here is some feedback after recieving approx 20 entries:
1) Be colorful and play with the letters, however it cannot be too childish. google is a successful example -color, fun, makes you happy, easy to remember, still not childish.
2) It should be obvious that the paw is a BEAR paw, not a cat paw or a human print. Still the claws cannot be too sharp or threatening. Please try to find a balance.
3) dont add shadows, glowing features or details that cannot be encorporated when embrodering.
4) the ones that we like the most are simple, smart, in small letters, round fonts, colorful, a paw that looks like a bear paw
Have FUN with it and be creative!

Im sorry for not being able to comment on all entries today- it is not my intension to give some feedback -some none! Hopefully Ill be able to be more active tomorrow.
Regarding the potential confusion that some entries has been praised although childish while the products are for grown-ups: it is our ambition to create a brand that is fun, smart and bright -still not too childish. I realize that this is the true challenge for you creatives and ask you to try to combine adventure and outdoor with positive and creative (not funny) features. These entries that have been given several stars have in most cases NOT succeeded in capturing that balance. Just as some has not been creative, bright and positive enough although the font used (for exapmple) has been very nice. Combine these two "extremes" and youll find a winning consept. Hope you all see where Im going with this.
