LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:
We're a leading provider of training in North America
HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:
Design a brochure cover for a new seminar (our in-house team will do the production of the internal pieces of the brochure)
OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:
Managers, supervisors and team leaders at all sizes and types of organizations.
WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:
Designer notes:
*Looking for a clean, sophisticated design with a decent balance of white space. I’d like to see some 3-color designs – but I’ll also be willing to consider 4-color designs.
*If you use pictures of people – make sure you’re showing diversity – no solo shots of individuals (you do NOT have to use people … in fact I’d like to see some designs without people).
*It’s very, very, very, very, very IMPORTANT that the title be the dominant graphic on the page. The rest of the copy is deliberately sparse. It’s such a long title that it shouldn’t be a problem making it “pop” – but be sure to give extra-special attention to your font choice and design effects used to set up the title on the page. It’s very important that we get people to read the title of this brochure – so make the title the star of the page. (and for goodness sakes – don’t be boring – you’re a creative … so show me your awesomeness in your design!)
*Don’t sacrifice READABILITY for creativity. Be creative – but still achieve your primary aim – which is communication. This brochure will print on offset paper that tends to have a fair amount of bleed. Plus, half the audience is 40+ -- and just in case you’re not there yet – know that a lot of 40+ folks have vision issues. Small, dark, hard-to-read stuff will just get tossed.
*I am NOT a fan of a lot of reverse type -- so use it judiciously. Designs that come in with nearly all reverse type will not be considered.
*If your design is selected – you’ll need to provide a fully editable layered PSD document, list of fonts used, source of graphics used. This is very important that you know this – I’ve had some folks on previous projects try to give me things in Illustrator and InDesign. That’s NOT what I want here … so please design with this in mind. I don’t want you to be surprised about the format – that’s why I’m being so emphatic here.
Thanks for working on this project! I’m so very happy to have you take this on!
