WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The brand mark will be used across all communications – in the main, these are electronic (website, PowerPoint presentation documents, word documents, email, blog etc), but also for a business card and to be used for other printed materials as required - it must
o Work in various sizes – from business card (small), to PowerPoint screen show (large)
o Print well in black & white (many documents with the image are printed, often in small size)
o Be reversible (or alternate version) to enable use on different coloured backgrounds – black, white, colour etc (eg powerpoint)
o Work well online with different resolutions - for website, blog, email etc

Files in all required formats (including CMYK tiff for print (eg. Word docs), CMYK eps vector file, PNG, RGB jpeg for web and Powerpoint, Small RGB Jpeg for email footer, Black & White version for single colour branding)

Our ideas & initial thoughts...
• We like red, black & yellow as colours – but we are open to alternatives
• Probably one main colour & one other
• ‘Fuse’ as the focus of the name, with ‘strategic research’ secondary (perhaps underneath & smaller?) & possibly include ‘+’ in ‘strategic research+’

based on the designs we have seen so far, some further clarification of our needs & general feedback

- the identity is for a new marketing services business, so while we do not want this to be corporate & boring, it does need to present a professional image. some of the ideas have a bit of a hi-tech or mechanical feel which doesn’t fit with us

- it is important for the identity to reflect our personality

o Clarity of focus & direction

o Holistic, ‘big picture’ perspective

o Fresh, but with longevity

o Professional, experienced, knowledgeable

o Modern, open to new thinking & approaches, in tune with new developments & trends

o Flexible, adaptable, innovative, creative

o Reliable, dependable, trusted advisor

o Enthusiasm & passion

o Clear & engaging communication

- we like the idea of a logo as well as the name, which could be used separately

- we’d like the logo to be visual representation of the core of our business offering – integrating intelligence to provide value

- we prefer simpler logos – it is critical that the logo work well in different sizes & when printed in black & white. we would be a little concerned that much of the detail & meaning in some of the more complex designs would be lost if printed very small in B&W

- in general, we definitely prefer the ‘look’ of the lower case text compared to all CAPS

- it is important for ‘strategic research’ to be part of identity – we prefer how this looks when positioned under ‘fuse’

- in terms of colours – we are not keen on the very ‘shiny’ colours which feel a bit IT or online related. we would like to see a little more ‘vibrancy’ in the colours. we are a little less keen on orange as a colour
