LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a young startup company from Berlin, Germany. We specialize in audiobooks and podcasts for companies. Since people do not know podcasting very well in Germany, this is a hard job! We are offering and selling podcasts and audio books on iTunes, audible etc.

We are looking for a striking logo, realizing our tries were a waste of time. Problem is: We cannot spend much money. Hey, we are not cheap, really. But we can promise the winner at least one new assignment in 2010. We are grateful people, honestly...

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a simple, unique and momorable Logo displaying our company name "CHiLL4". The "i" has to be small, it used to symbolize a person like in Apple's Podcast-Logo. If you have a significantly better idea, you may spell it "Chill4" in emergency. If you would provide business cards and letterheads, this would be awesome, if this is asked to much for the price, we (will have to) understand.

The keywords to our company are: audio, listening, entertainment, young, fresh, mobile, intelligent, clever, elegant. We believe a font without serifs would be the better choice.

You know what they say:

Small companies = small self-esteem = BIG Logos!
Big companies = big self-esteem = Small Logos!

We would like to get a rather small Logo for this reason, please.

If it matters to anyone: The word "CHiLL" did use to mean "CHoose your ILLusion". Everyone sees the world differently. This means, there is no "one world". This means that everyone's idea is as wrong as it is right. Then it is fair to say that every "world" is an illusion. Us human beings are only free to "choose that illusion"... to CHiLL.

MAJOR UPDATE, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:

To make things easier for everyone, we want to point out our overall favorites at this time:

1. #14 and #24 by RedClover: Nice clickwheel integration, good colors and fonts, yet somehow simple.
2. #38 and #39 by xvostik: Great Font, only the icons needs refinement.
3. #55 by najara: Still to crowded with clickwheel and headphone and a little too unbalanced yet.
4. #33 and #35 by blueii: Nice equalizer idea. nice i-person!

We hope this helps you to get an impression of our taste and attitude.

Now, we want to help with the problem of "overloading": Please keep in mind what we said about the "crowdedness" of Logos: Look at Apple, McDonald's or Microsoft. These are SIMPLE Logos, not "paintings" so to speak. So, to make the message easier, pixman took it to a good direction.

FROM now on, please consider the underline "ENTERTAINMENT". This loosens the pressure on saying it all with images.

We are bvery happy with what we received so far and hope for even greater drafts drom you guys and gals! So grab your "general awesomeness" and pave the way to our amazing future!

For what it's worth:

Our investor and patriarch, my one and only mother Christine Karpinski (www.praxis-karpinski.de) died 24 hours ago at the age of 66 years. We at CHiLL4 grief about one of the most famous alternative practitioners in Germany and lose more than 50 years of experience in medical care along with more than 3,500 patients.

This might not be the perfect spot to write about it. Still, it is what is in our hearts and minds here at CHiLL4. My mother never knew or understood what podcasts, audiobooks or the web even were but she felt obligated to invest her money in the younger generation so that this world may continue.

"I drove my first Mercedes when I was 50. And I realized I would have needed that car when I was 25. You young poeple need the money, we old folks have nothing good to do with it. And we look ridiculous in sports cars."

The more we hope for your useful and valued input. Today, we are more devided than ever to make this company a success.

We owe it to the poeple who trusted us blindly. We cannot have them disappointed.

Dear creative geniouses!

Since we are running out of time and there are a few really awesome competitors left, we want to help things go as smoothly as possible.

WE DO NOT WISH to waste the estimated work and time of any of you!

Please consider the following things when starting or improving your ideas. ATTENTION: Not following these rules would render your proposal not rated and therefore an unnecessary waste of time we do not want for you!

1. All proposals which are only Logos without stationery will NOT BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION from now on (Oct 9th, 1400 CET). This might seem hard, but we only have few time left and it is way easier to imagine what "the whole ting" looks like if we see the stationery also. We want to protect YOU from creating Logos which might be good but fall behind others which already started the stationary, too. We believe this to be fair.

2. You will also find the actual company data instead of "name, street" placeholders. Your ideas would appeal more to us psychiologically, if the actual data would be filled in there.

3. If you work on letterheads, please consider the many crappy data which is necessary in Germany. We mentioned them in various entries. We consider it also okay to copy these data off other proposals, for it is not stealing creativitiy, only our very own company data, right?

4. We are grateful if yu have questions abut detial befre you continue your work, pease PM us.
