Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a small internet start-up focused on creating social websites to enable people to find connections with others.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo for a site we are developing that utilizes our name and also creates a visual icon that can be associated with the brand on facebook, twitter and other social networks.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our site can potentially have a user group of all ages. For purposes of the brief we should target men and women ages 25 to 29. Internet savvy and with a strong sense of design aesthetics. Early research indicates that our interaction may attract those that are interested in photography and visual art. The design should still have a sense of playfulness.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Other than the written brief above we don't want to constrain the design process very much.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We want to see our brand pixSmix.com utilized and separately want a logo that conveys expression and connection. pixSmix is a social website allowing users to create image "mosaics" of photos and to publish these image "mosaics" so that other viewers can guess the personal characteristics of the creator. The mosaics are build from a group of interesting images that are given to the user randomly. These images are uploaded from the flickr api and are tagged by it as "interesting". Our hope is that users will build these "mosaic" artifacts and use them to create interactions with others. Currently, the users build their artifacts from 36 images into a 12 image "mosaic" by moving the images around in a 4x3 grid. I have uploaded a prototype design which has since been highly modified but at least will convey the general idea. Please disregard any of the branding or design that is embedded in our uploaded concept. The important idea is the creation of the visual artifact composed of multiple photographic images.

We are on a burn to get this done so as you can see our deadline is quite short.
