With all the effective and credible brand names I've listed as inspiration, they've all either had the strong centered sort of presentation (with an icon centered above the company name) or have had the icon to the left of the company name. My primary concern is the logo first, and from there, a business card, envelope, and letterhead, but the LOGO is the main concern.

For what NOT to have, I've noticed a variety of logos have text laid over a background image or shape of sorts. I prefer not to have this so when this logo is translated across other mediums, there's no issues when printing in B&W or small sizes (however, if your design is great enough and does this, then great for ...
