Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are a leading provider of business training

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

New brochure cover design for our Communication brochure (we'll take care of executing the rest of the brochure in-house)

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Working people -- all industries, government, non-profits, etc.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

If you'll look at the brochure PDFs posted at these links -- you'll see what I'm talking about. Just hit the button "download printable brochure now" on each page to view brochure:

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Designer notes:

*Looking for a clean, bright, contemporary design with a decent balance of white space. This can be a 2 or a 3-color design – do NOT use 4 colors.

*If you use pictures of people – make sure you’re showing diversity – no solo shots of individuals (you do NOT have to use people … in fact I’d probably prefer a design that did not use pics of people).

*The order of priority in terms of what should “pop on the page” is represented by size of the font I’ve used on the attached. Make sure the title of the seminar is the most dominant object on the page … it should probably take up at least 1/3rd of the page space). The bulleted copy can remain relatively small (as small as 10 point type is ok)

*I am NOT a fan of a lot of reverse type -- so use it judiciously if it is used at all. Designs that come in with nearly all reverse type will not be considered.

*If your design is selected – you’ll need to provide a layered PSD document, list of fonts used, source of graphics used. I’m just having you create the cover – my internal team will take care of all edits and will finish off the rest of the brochure.

This design has made us a lot of money – despite it being rather ugly and very dated . We are looking for something fresh to test against it.

Thanks for working on this project!
