Unfortunately, this project didn't receive the minimum 25 entries and so we need to make good on our guarantee and give the buyer their money back (including our own fee, for the record).

Please know that we take both our buyers' and creatives' happiness very seriously. We make our buyers take a risk by forcing them to pay up-front without having any idea what they'll receive in return. And we balance that risk by guaranteeing that they'll be rewarded by receiving at least 25 entries to choose from.

Unfortunately, sometimes a project just doesn't get the minimum number of entries. It could be because of a low award, a lack of feedback from the buyer or it could have simply been an unpopular project with creatives. Either way, rest assured that we do everything we can to minimize the number of projects that go unawarded. We know that you invest your time and effort on these projects and it's frustrating to see them go away.

Finally, you have our word that we spoke to this buyer personally and tried to find a different solution but, at the end of the day, this was their decision.

PROJECT UPDATE: Today, we sent the buyer 48 hours notice concerning this project. If we don't hear from the buyer by Saturday September 27, 2008, 5 pm CDT, a panel at crowdSPRING will make a determination and award this project, per our User Agreement.

My advice is to give feedback early and often.

The only way that you're going to get closer to multiple ideas that you prefer is to provide feedback so that the creatives can adjust things more to your liking.
