LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Fluxx is an Open Source grants management software solution for foundations, grantgivers and nonprofits.

We believe software that is central to the mission of charitable organizations should be open-source solutions, developed by the community for the community.

Our mission is to create, as a community, the non-profit sector's first open-source grants management software for tracking grant applications from initial request to fully funded and beyond.

The Fluxx team is lead by members of several foundations, and is currently funded by The Energy Foundation (http://www.ef.org), a partnership of major donors interested in solving the world's energy problems.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The word flux comes from Latin: fluxus means "flow". We chose this name to represent the "flow" of information as it moves through the grants management process, and would like to see some powerful yet simple logo options that represent this concept visually.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience is pretty broad - we're marketing to several groups at once, from Foundation executives and IT directors, to independent software developers and designers.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

We like soft, clean lines and rounded fonts.

We don't like anything too generically Web 2.0.

We're open to ideas, so surprise us with something cool and creative.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo must work with two variations:

1. The word Fluxx (with 2 x's) should be able to stand on it's own.
2. Second variation should include the full project title "The Fluxx Project".

We're open to any variation of colors, fonts, and case sensitivity (all lower case, all caps, first letter caps, whatever).
