Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

ShatterBox.com is an interactive online theatre aimed at exposing graduates and young professionals to out-of-the-box careers using short documentary films, social networking and an ever-growing library of "stuff to read."

The 5-7 minute films feature a young person's story of building a career by pursuing a passion, taking a risk, and seeking fulfillment. The social networking space will allow people to post their own stories, videos, photos (etc) and connect with each other to seek and share advice.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo that is not entirely literal (a box shattering) but that isn't unrelated to the idea of shattering a box (the box that implies a normal, uncreative life.) We want it to be modern (target audience is in early 20s) yet sophisticated (target audience is intelligent and educated). Colors are up for grabs. Logo should be straightforward and easy to recreate over and over.

Logo will be used throughout the site as well as on business cards and company materials.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

College students (18-21) and post-grads (21-25). I want them to be intrigued by the design and inspirational/networking concept of the site. We want them to come back to see what's new in terms of original content (films), community discussion, and resource materials. We want them to easily navigate the site and be impressed by its simultaneous simplicity and beauty.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Nike ACG- http://www.nike.com/nikeacg/#dispatch
Rob Morris' designs- http://digitalmash.com/work/print/
Patagonia Tin Shed- http://www.patagonia.com/web/us/tinshed/index.j...

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

Open ended.
