Dear Participants,

We apologize for the confusion in terms of timing for the contest. While, we were very pleased with the amount of submissions we received, we are lacking one currently that hits the nail on the head in terms of the conference theme.

Here are some helpful hints about what our team has NOT reacted well too:

1) While a light bulb is a very common visual representation of an Idea, IDEA actually is an acronym that stands for Information Design Experience Architecture. So designs focusing on the word Idea, as traditionally defined, missed the mark.

2) Graphics for graphics sake: we are a group of professionals that believe that something must communicate a message and/or assist in a task, if it happens to also look rad - all the better, but for sure not our focus. We want a shirt that everyone will be proud to wear as a badge of attendance and pride, not just a fashion statement.

3) Changing our brand: We have worked hard to establish the IDEA brand, and are not looking to break those basic brand rules. So re-engineering our logo at all is not acceptable for this exercise.

4) Concepts without statements: This is a conference about collaboration and sharing of knowledge, to submit without explanation of your concept is a sure way for it to not make the cut. We want to hear why you think this is THE design.
