Creative brief
The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.
Gracefield is a Christian camp and retreat centre. It's been around for a long time, but is undergoing a major transformation, renewal, and revitalization. We are committed to helping all people experience spiritual discovery, growth, and renewal. We nurther a deeper love of Christ, provide comfort and support, build leadership, and develop meaningful relationships. Stewardship of the environment is a priority.
Brief updates

- We help people who are really trying to deepen their faith. This occurs in a stunning and rugged environment of rough hills, old forests, and beautiful lakes. The three main areas of focus for Gracefield are children's camping, retreats, and an on-site tent and trailer community that spends several months in residence each year.
HERE'S WHAT WE NEED
We want to bring the branding of Gracefield into the present, giving it a clear and striking presnece while building on its long history. We are looking for a logo that is fresh and contemporary.
We don't want: praying hands, crosses, bibles, tents, trailers or anything oriented exclusively toward children.
We do want: a rich pallette, clarity, a brand that we will use for our website (being redesigned in the fall), inclusing of the words "Gracefield Christian Camp and Retreat Centre" and, for the cards and letterhead, inclusion of the phrase "A ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Canada".
AUDIENCE
We are trying to reach a diverse audience. Gracefield is as much for adults and seniors and couples as it is for children. We're also communicating with a range of Christian churches, NGOs, and other not-for-profit organizations in the region near Ottawa, Canada

- It would be good to include hints of the past logo (particularly the tree) but not to feel bound by it: http://gracefieldtransition.blogspot.com/
Some logos we like are:
