LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

We are Gooey, a Chicago based rock and roll power pop band. We get references to David Bowie, the Beatles, and Matthew Sweet. You can listen to us at www.ilovegooey.com You can forward through the music on the player.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We are looking for a 11" x 17" concert poster that we can use for different shows in pdf and jpg format. 4" or 5" at the bottom should be blank so that we can write in manually with a marker details on the show (Date/Venue/Time/TixPrice). The posters would be for use mainly in rock clubs so they should be clear and visible in dark settings. They should also be interesting and attractive to compel someone to read the poster. It probably makes sense for you to listen to a bit of the music to get the right feel.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Pretty wide demographic 17yr - 45 yr old live music concert goer. When they see the poster they should think power pop, hip and cool. The idea behind the name Gooey is simple - the songs are sticky and sweet. Short songs with great hooks and melodies.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

Plenty of sample concerts posters online. I just checked out www.concertposters.com and on the home page I like the U2 and Oasis posters. www.concertposterart.com has some cool posters as well like Band of Horses, the Who, Iggy Pop.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

We need to have our band name. The band name needs to be large. The logo should also be included and can be smaller if you come up with a cool font for the band name.
We need to have website address "www.ilovegooey.com" This can should be smaller.
We do not want to see anything that implies the wrong type of music (we are not counrty, heavy metal, rap, etc..)
