Creative brief

Let me tell you about us.
The Briarcliff Animal Foundation (BAF) is a volunteer based, non-profit organization formed exclusively to promote and provide funding for animal care. The idea for BAF evolved as an outgrowth of The Briarcliff Animal Clinic. The clinic had long been providing financial aid to sick stray and indigent animals. Further, there was a substantial need to help these animals on a much broader scale. The Foundations approach is unique in that it offers medical treatment to injured and sick stray animals along with well care.

Here is what we need:
Now in our third year as a non-profit foundation we have had a chance to step back and look and what we have done and where we want to go. As we look towards the future and growing our foundation we want to focus on our image and “branding”. Our current logo has worked for what we needed during the initial years but now is the time to work on the image we will use for many years to come. This project is for a logo to be used in ALL of our marketing, from website to emails to print literature, etc.

Our target audience is:
Animal lovers, young and old!!!! A lot of our donations come from young (25 – 45) professionals who care about animals and want to make a difference. For many of these people including myself, our pets are our children.

We like these designs:
OK, here is the hard part … I know it is not fair to say that I will now it when I see it. I have uploaded our current logo. We don’t like the color combination, (blue and red … looks too patriotic) the dog is cute but looks like it has a beer can around its neck. We would like something “cute” yet young professional, hip.

Our design absolutely must have:
Almost an open canvas, It does need to include the name Briarcliff Animal Foundation.
