LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Blink Chocolate is a chocolate bar, that is, a cafe which specializes in chocolate drinks, and we are just about to open our first store.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

We need a logo designed which includes the words 'blink chocolate'. We want a very simple, bold design, perhaps one foreground and one background colour - note that the logo needs to work on a white background as well. The logo should be either just text, or accompanied by a very simple graphic. The word 'blink' should be more prominent than 'chocolate', or at least differentiated somehow.

Though we have a fairly solid idea of what we want, we are not designers, and would much prefer an inspired design which ignores our guidelines (within reason) to a dull one which rigidly adheres to them.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Our target audience relatively young, 18 - 30. We're looking to project an image of being a quick stop for a good drink at a reasonable price.

Most of our competitors overemphasize the quality of service, with overwrought designs, fittings and prices to match. We want to be seen as a quick, simple and cheaper but high quality alternative.

I'm finding a lot of these typefaces to be a bit boring. If someone can hand-render the word 'blink' in an attractive style, never mind the rest of the design, I'll look upon it very favorably.

I've decided the graphic isn't so important, I'd rather see the text done properly; I'll quite happily accept a simple text logo.

Also, there seems to be quite a brown trend in the logos. While understandable given the project, I'm not completely sold on it. Some of them are very attractive, but I'd like to see some brighter colors.
