Creative brief

ConservationTools.org will help nonprofits, local governments and individuals to easily identify and pursue conservation techniques suited to their needs. This community website (with wiki functionality) will come to be considered THE central repository of information on conservation tools by the developers and consumers of the tools.

The website is being developed by the Pennsylvania Land Trust Association, a non-profit organization that is made up of 80 local conservation organizations. The Association is presently collaborating with many experts to prepare a critical mass of informational content for the public debut of ConservationTools.org.

The logo will be (1) a distinguishing feature of the website, (2) serve as a hyperlink from various other websites to ConservationTools.org and (3) identify the site in other marketing. The logo will:

• Have the website name, ConservationTools.org, incorporated into the design;
• Be a clear and standalone concept that can be easily identified by web-users as a useful link to conservation information;
• Be distinct, unique, and easily identifiable.

We DO NOT want any design elements that represent the state of Pennsylvania (e.g. Keystone, state silhouette, etc.). The logo does NOT have to be consistent with our current web design or organizational logo.

A few rough mockups of pages from ConservationTools.org as well as our vision, history and mission can be viewed at our website http://conserveland.org/features/conservationto.... The mock ups are provided to give you a feel for the content, not as a guide for design. Let the juices flow!
