Creative brief

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

I own a small consulting firm that provides writing, editing, and general business development advice to small businesses. The primary products that I sell are writing and editing business plans, whitepapers, and other documents, market and industry research, and general due dilligence. Eventually I hope to offer basic accounting services, too. I am going to start a marketing blog that provides regular commentary on the importance of generally accepted business practices and advice and etiquette for small businesses and entrepreneurs: dress codes, thank you notes, phone call etiquette, punctuation and grammar, etc etc.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

The name of the website is "Little Things Big Results." I need a logo that can be incorporated into a blog header and other web formats. I will design my blog and website header around the logo (I can customize a Wordpress CSS theme myself).

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Small businesses and entrepreneurs.

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS:

My initial concept is something like a stylized acorn or oak tree, perhaps some other kind of seed or sprout (like an abstract bean sprout or flower bud), or some other graphic element that gives the impression of rapid growth from a small spot (maybe an egg hatching?). I envision the blog template having a dark black or charcoal (#333333) page background with dark serif text on a light content space in the middle, very similar to the Crowdspring website itself. Accent colors (ie the logo itself) are totally up in the air, too.

WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

The logo can be stylized text of the blog title ("Little Things Big Results") but if not, then there needs to be space somewhere in the side or bottom margin for the name if and when it's used anywhere else besides the blog header.
