This is an overview of requirements for the crowdSPRING project to create new icons for [[NprTools]]

This is a project to create 8 icons for a new add-on product for SketchUp - NprTools (Non-photorealistic Tools).

Render Plus Systems

Render Plus Systems develops and markets add-ons for Google SketchUp.

We have several add-on products.

We want to create icons for a new product NprTools (Non-photorealistic Tools).


HERE IS WHAT WE NEED

Design new icons to be used for the new product.


OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS

Architects, graphic designers and product Designers who use 3D graphics in their work and want to ceate artistic renderings of their models (watercolor effects, charcoal sketch effects, etc.)

Our target audience is design professionals. All of our users also use Google SketchUp, so visit their site

WE LIKE THESE DESIGNS

The new icons should fit in well with the existing SketchUp icons.

However, because there are so many icons already, it would be a good idea to use a common color, common element, or common style to give the new toolbar a coherent look.


WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE THIS IN OUR DESIGN

Each logo should be provided in 16x16, 24x24 and 32x32 transparent .PNG format.

For early submissions, you should send the 24 x 24 icons. If you are selected as the winner, you will be expected to create 16 x 16 and 32 x 32 icons as well.

If you use an icon generation program which makes it easy to create the icons in various resolutions, you should send us the icons in the format for that program as well, so it will be easier for us to make changes to the icons in the future.

The icons should be compatible with the icons already contained in the SketchUp product.

1. Product Logo

This is a logo for the overall product. When the user clicks it it brings up an about box.


2. Soft Shadows

Creates soft shades from the SketchUp Mode


3. Sketchy Shadows

This is the most powerful of the tools. It replaces the solid shadows in SketchUp with shadows made from patterns.



4. Sketchy Textures

Creates new textures from standard patterns and SketchUp Sketchy Styles.


5. Soft Edges

The Soft Edges feature applies a color and mask to the edges lines in a SketchUp rendering to make the edges softer.



6. Crayon Colors

Select from 132 Crayola® colors and use a special Crayon Style for display.

7. Save Model As Image

Saves images from your current model in several modes. (Usually for use combining them later in Paint Programs).
