Business Name Rover Water Sports

Company Colors Black and Orange Vermillion (International Orange/GG bridge)

Description The company is a full service bricks and mortar retail Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, and Surfing store located in San Francisco California. We provide gear sales & rentals, instruction, repair and travel services. We also run a parallel website for the same services.

Use Case Our Primary Corporate Logo to be used in: Retail Signage, Marketing, Website, and Apparel/Merchandising.

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

A Super Sharp Iconic Corporate Logo

· We need to be able to easily reuse the graphic with out the text interfering too much.

· Keeping it simple – envision a kid doodling it on a notebook

- While the sports we do business in are known as “extreme sports” our image is built around group and family participation and not the “radical xsporster”. But we still love to bust a big air too.


OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

· Key Consumer – All participants and interested parties in the water sports. Demographically 80% of the current business is 25-55 year old males with above average incomes 60-200k+. They typically participate in more than one of the sports we do business in, are Internet savvy, and price sensitive. Our customer is generally a bit more of an intermediate to beginner in these sports and in need of help in making purchasing decisions. Our customers and clients generally need a layer of subject matter expertise (that’s us) in order to make these purchasing decisions. We need to convey trust and expertise to this audience.
· We are seeing a rapid growth in the female participation in the 20-50 age group.



WE ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE (or we don't want to see) THIS IN OUR DESIGN:

the 3 sports depicted - windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing
the golden gate bridge. We have attached a very lame first mock up on this projects attachment area.

Brief updates

8-May-09 1:38 p.m. GMT
- As we looked at the first few designs we came up hoepfully with some addittional guidance and a semi important technical detail.
- we like the Art Deco Style
-the figures (surfer, windsurfer etc..) do not need to be, almost should not, be realistic. More icon like - simple.
- However it is semi important that the kitesurfer has 4 lines - 2 on each sid e of the kite connecting him to the sail. This is the technical detail I mention above. Keep our street credibility with the crew. Not a show stopper and if your designs whole world revolves aroungd a 2 line kite - I can live with it. #;>)
