LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT US:

Here is the first announcement regarding the event. I think this will do best to give you an idea of what the event is all about.
‘Tis a Gift to be Simple.” Imagine stepping back in time, when life was indeed simpler. No cell phones, no Internet, no computer, no e-mails, no office build-ings. Basic needs were food and shelter. Feed our bod-ies, feed our souls. What made life fulfilling was com-munity: getting together with friends and family of all ages to connect on a different level. Flash forward now. It’s fall. Leaves changing colors; air getting colder and crisper. Atlanta bustles with the holiday spirit. People are rushing around thinking of menus, presents, groceries, work, incoming family, sales, schedules, and TRAFFIC. The craziness is com-ing. But wait . . . Not for you. You’re sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of a beautiful lodge in North Carolina, just a few hours from our busy city. You’re remembering how to connect on a personal level. How do you put yourself into this scene? Please join us! MPC is planning a retreat we hope to make an an-nual event. This inspiring weekend will be for every-one: young, old, single, or bearing many children. There will be loads of children’s activities to give their parents a well-deserved break and allow them to bond with their peers, and many adult activities to replenish our faith. This event will help bring us back to nature, back to basics, and back to the things that really matter in life. Give yourself this time before the holiday rush hits to remind you and your family of the importance of community, respecting and learning from elders, and sharing a meal together. This will be the best start to the season to remind us to give of ourselves rather than give monetarily. Mark your calendars: Friday, Nov. 20, to Sunday, Nov. 22, at the William Black Lodge in Montreat, NC

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED:

MUST SUPPLY FINAL FILE IN ILLUSTRATOR FORMAT - Need a logo (simple) that can be used on all marketing items that will be used to promote the retreat. The logo will be used mostly for print materials (flyers, brochures, t-shirts, announcements) and will be used hardly at all online (website). No more than 2 colors preferred.

OUR TARGET AUDIENCE IS:

Entire church congregation, little over 400 members, middle to upper class income, young professionals, families, married, single, gay, straight, while, black, hispanic .... ok, we are a melting pot.
