I'm developing a web application for organizations that help (often for a longer period of time) unemployed people find a job. Besides many other activities to motivate/educate these clients, one of the employees/specialists activities is jobhunting and scanning the internet for vacancies. Because this web application will be used by both the specialists and their clients (with various eduction levels and often less internet experience), the (interaction) design has a central focus.
You will be given page examples (in a wire frame alike format with sample content) of four base pages within the web application (with the differences between the specialist and the client version of the page). I would like to see clean, professional, Web 2.0-ish designs. Simplicity and ease of use are more appropriate than an eye-grabbing, in-your-face style.
Thought has been given to how users will interact with the web application. The page examples represent my best ideas so far, but are absolutely not final. Improvements of the interaction design are thus appreciated.
Your final deliverable will include...
1. Four base pages, of which three have a client and a specialist version
2. Additional layers for changes to control state (like pushing-in or pushing-out a button/folding page parts; only where and if applicable of course)
3. A generic template that can be used to create (most) other pages
4. A simple and clean login page
