I am seeking a clean, professional, and beautiful direct mail piece for my criminal defense firm. This direct mail piece will be sent as an advertisement to persons who have recently been arrest and charge with driving under the influence and other crimes.

I want to clarify that I will not be having this professionally printed and cut to look like a mini legal folder.

Hello Creatives!

I want to emphasize that I am pretty set on the idea of this being a mini-folder. Here is an example of the folder shape I envisioned: http://www.folderideas.com/FF-105.aspx

However, I want the dimensions to be smaller per the design brief.

Thanks!

I also want to make clear that the letter and copy will be printed directly onto the folder. I do not intend on printing additional pages and stuffing the folder. I will print out adhesive labels with the recipients name to attach to the tab portion of the folder.

I realize I've included a great deal of copy to incorporate in the two interior panels. I am more concerned about the appearance and lay out for the messages at this stage. I can edit the copy and create new copy that will fit in an eye pleasing lay out. I think I have probably included too much copy and forcing it into the mini-folder makes it look a little crowded. While I think the left hand pane needs to be reserved for the generic letter, the right hand panel needs to showcase a call to action and the basic message. The basic message is the following: (1) we know you are probably scared and anxious right now; (2) we can help you: every day, the only thing we do is defend people like you that have been accused of crimes; (3) we know that cost is an issue, which is why we developed a unique no downside fee agreement; (4) what is going to happen next? what is the worst case scenario? how much will it cost to hire a lawyer? CALL US. We will answer your questions and phone consultations are always free. I welcome your creative ideas for how to display the message without it looking cheap or cheesy! Thanks.
Update 16-Jan-14 GMT
For ease of communication going forward, this folder design has four pages: Front Cover, Back Cover, Inside Left and Inside Right.
Update 19-Jan-14 GMT
I want to make clear that this piece will need to fit in a 6 x 9 envelope to be mailed.
