Creative brief

The buyer added updates to the brief. Read them.

Business Name

PlanetTogether

What do you do?

We provide advanced planning and scheduling software to manufacturers.

How many pages of print design do you need?

1

List the size requirement(s) for your print design

1900 x 1200 pixels. High image quality.

What is your industry?

Software and InfoTech

Describe the target audience for your print design

C-level executives, VP Operations and Planners/Schedulers for large manufacturing companies throughout the world.

What 3 things would you like to communicate to your audience through your print design?

There's only one, but it has multiple components: the positive impact of manufacturing on society - see first paragraph of our "we believe" statement: http://planettogether.com/webelieve/. If PlanetTogether or our solutions can be tied into it, we would really like that too...but not essential.

This could lead to more work for the winner and/or runner(s) up as we may build on this graphic design with additional pieces.

What print design styles do you like?

Clean, clear, original, impactful.

What colors do you want to see in your print design?

I would probably prefer the overall image to be bright (so not too many dark colors), but that's not absolutely necessary.

What colors do you NOT want to see in your print design?

Too much darkness throughout. Some dark colors are ok.

What adjectives should best describe your print design?

Impactful, emotional.

How will you use the print design?

Large image on home page of our new website (which is in development), print (collateral) and PPT. This may be the first piece in a series of designs for the slider on our new website.

What content must be included in the print design?

Manufacturing and people. Possibly one of our big clients, like Johnson and Johnson, could be included but not necessary if it doesn't work. See attached file for our clients.

Brief updates

It is most important that the design shows a human element of the enormous and positive impact of manufacturing on people and societies. I would like to see that illustrated versus just expressed in words. Showing our clients or one big client would be very nice if it can be incorporated, but the piece cannot be based on that.

Also please note that we need to be able to use this piece as our main image on the home page of our website. So it has to be graphically impactful above all else, and cannot include too many words or be too busy. We also have a need to incorporate this graphic into a handout, but that's outside the parameters of this specific project. The artists who can best illustrate the positive impact of manufacturing on employment, people and/or societies will be finalists, and the one who can also cleverly incorporate our brand and/or a few of our main clients will probably win.

By going through the process of evaluating the designs so far, I have concluded that text is too busy and distracting so please no text. A few logos maybe ok, but not too many. Please focus on the graphics and be creative illustrating how manufacturing has a positive impact on people and/or societies.

Let me provide some ideas and suggestions regarding positive impact of manufacturing:
1) People at work in manufacturing -> jobs
2) Happy and or active people/families (but please show real people, not posed models). It needs to be interesting...eye-catching.
3) Impactful products on society (e.g.: life-saving medical devices, healthy food, etc.).
